Leap Ahead Preschool focuses on learning through play and hands on activities. We love teaching children to explore nature and the world around them. No more then 12 students per class. We provide opportunities for learning social and academic skills that will help prepare your child's transition to kindergarten.
Child must be 100% potty trained to attend.
We are Not certified to teach children with special needs at this time.

Academics
We know that getting ready for school is much more than learning the alphabet and colors, that is why we focus not only on letters, letter sounds, colors and shapes, but also rhyming, patterns, sequencing, problem solving, social skills and counting.
Nature Based
Our Nature-based preschool is a powerful program that fuse early childhood and environmental education to develop a child’s lifelong connection with the natural world. All while learning valuable skills that will help your child be ready for Kindergarten.
Mindfulness
Little kids are always learning what thier bodies can do. At Leap Ahead Learning Academy we spend time each week, moving our bodies while we practice yoga, breathing and hand and eye coordination.
Creative Minds
Good thinkers are the best learners and at Leap Ahead Learning Academy, we practice asking questions, answering them, discovering and exploring our world around us.

Meet the teacher
Mrs. Katie graduated from Brigham Young University - Idaho in 2005 with a BA in Elementary Education. She currently holds a K-8 Teaching certificate through the state of Idaho. Has earned Certificates in Mathematical Teaching Instruction, Idaho Comprehensive Literacy and Technology in the classroom. She is an ambassador for Project Learning Tree, a professional program helping teachers bring nature into the classroom. She has taught for over 15 years and worked as a preschool teacher for over 8 years.
She is a mother of 4 happy children and loves to be surrounded by family, friends and the beautiful outdoors.
